New York state elections, 2018
The 2018 New York state elections will take place on November 6, 2018. All of New York's executive officers will be up for election as well as all a United States Senate seat and all of New York's twenty-seven seats in the United States House of Representatives.
Governor
Incumbent Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo was re-elected to a second term in 2014. Cuomo has announced he plans to run for a third term in 2018.[1]
Attorney General
Incumbent Democratic Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has been in office since 2011, was re-elected in 2014 with 56% of the vote. Schneiderman has not announced whether he will run for re-election.
Potential Democratic candidates if Schneiderman doesn't run for re-election include New York City Councilman Daniel Garodnick, State Senator Michael Gianaris, and New York City Public Advocate Letitia James.[2]
Comptroller
Incumbent Democratic Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, who has been in office since 2007, was re-elected in 2014 with 60% of the vote. DiNapoli has not announced whether he will run for re-election.
United States Senate
Incumbent Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has not announced whether she will run for re-election to a second full term.
United States House
All of New York's twenty-seven seats in the United States House of Representatives will be up for election in 2018.
State Senate
All 63 seats of the New York State Senate will be up for election in 2018.
State Assembly
All 150 seats in the New York State Assembly will be up for election in 2018.
