The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio will be held on November 6, 2018, to elect the 16 U.S. Representatives from the state of Ohio, one from each of the state's 16 congressional districts. The elections will coincide with other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.
District 1
The 1st District is held by Republican Steve Chabot.
Chabot has been considered a potential selection as Administrator of the Small Business Administration in the Donald Trump administration.[1] If Chabot is nominated and confirmed, a special election will be held to elect a representative for the remainder of the term.
District 2
The 2nd District is held by Republican Brad Wenstrup.
District 3
The 3rd District is held by Democrat Joyce Beatty.
District 4
The 4th District is held by Republican Jim Jordan.
District 5
The 5th District is held by Republican Bob Latta.
District 6
The 6th District is held by Republican Bill Johnson.
District 7
The 7th District is held by Republican Bob Gibbs.
District 8
The 8th District is currently held by Republican Warren Davidson.
District 9
The 9th District is held by Democrat Marcy Kaptur.
District 10
The 10th District is held by Republican Mike Turner.
District 11
The 11th District is held by Democrat Marcia Fudge.
District 12
The 12th District is held by Republican Pat Tiberi.
Tiberi is rumored to be considering running for the U.S. Senate instead of re-election in 2018.[2][3][4]
District 13
The 13th District is held by Democrat Tim Ryan.
District 14
The 14th District is held by Republican David Joyce.
Republican primary
Former State Representative Matt Lynch challenged Joyce in the Republican primary in the last two elections, losing by 55%-45% in 2014 and 64%-36% in 2016. On June 1, 2016, Lynch filed a statement of candidacy with the FEC for this district in 2018.[5] Lynch has made no announcement yet confirming whether he intends to run again.
District 15
The 15th District is held by Republican Steve Stivers.
District 16
The 16th District is held by Republican Jim Renacci.
Renacci is rumored to be considering running for governor instead of re-election in 2018.[6]
