Shands is a former settlement in Nevada County, California. Shands is located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west-southwest of Graniteville.^[2] Situated at an elevation of 4,636 ft (1,413 m) above sea level,^[1] it still appeared on maps as of 1902.^[1]
