The Indy Women in Tech Championship is a golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played originally as the 500 Ladies Classic for one appearance in 1968 [1] at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway golf course in Speedway, Indiana.
Mickey Wright won the 1968 event by three strokes over Kathy Whitworth.
On September 27, 2016, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced that the LPGA will return to the Speedway with a tournament at the now Pete Dye-designed Brickyard Crossing. Guggenheim Life and Annuity is named the sponsor of the Indy Women in Tech Championship, with the schedule from September 7–10, 2017.[2]
