- June 15, 1992 - Mark Hunter and future considerations traded to the Washington Capitals for Nick Kypreos. Hartford later sent Yvon Corriveau to Washington to complete the deal.
- June 16, 1992 - Whalers trade their 1993 sixth round draft pick (Rick Mrozik) to the Minnesota North Stars for Allen Pedersen.
