Zbyněk Stanjura (born 15 February 1964) is a Czech politician, who served as Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic from December 2012 to July 2013. He was appointed to Petr Nečas's Cabinet on 12 December 2012.[1] He has been Member of Parliament (MP) since 29 May 2010.
Political career
He started his political career at communal level. As a member of ODS he was mayor of Opava from 2002 to 2010. In 2010 he became a member of the Chamber of Deputies and in December 2012 he was named minister of transport in Petr Nečas' Cabinet.
Since 2013, Stanjura has served as Chief Whip of the Civic Democratic Party under the leadership of Petr Fiala.
