The 5th District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in Southern Wisconsin, and is composed of parts of Milwaukee County, and Waukesha County.[1]
Current elected officials
Leah Vukmir is the senator serving the 5th district. She was first elected in 2010, and we re-elected in 2014. Before serving as a senator, she held an office in the State Assembly, serving the 14th District from 2003 to 2011.[2]
The area of the 5th Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts:[3]
- The 13th (represented by Rob Hutton)
- The 14th (represented by Dale P. Kooyenga)
- The 15th (represented by Joe Sanfelippo)
The district is also located mostly within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Jim Sensenbrenner.[4]
