WEPG (910 AM, "The River") is a radio station broadcasting a Pure Country format. Licensed to South Pittsburg, Tennessee, United States, North America. The station is currently owned by Stone/Collins Communications, Inc. and features programming from ABC Radio.[1]
History
WEPG still utilizes the original broadcast tower, which was erected circa 1954, and which has a height of 255 feet (78 m). The tower and studios border the Tennessee River.
Travis Hickman, Program Director, has been with WEPG since 1982 and is the longest tenured personality with the station. As part of the format WEPG also filters in some Bluegrass from time to time. WEPG is a big supporter of "The Mother Church of Country Music." The world-famous Grand Ole Opry.
