The United States men's national lacrosse team is one of the best national lacrosse teams in the world based on its championships and selection process. The team has won nine of eleven World Lacrosse Championships, the most recent being 2010. The Canada national team beat the US national team in 1978, 2006, and 2014
The US team usually consists of professional lacrosse players who play in Major League Lacrosse and/or the National Lacrosse League. Many of the team members are also on the boxlacrosse national team.
