Una is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Mississippi.
The Una Post Office operated from 1890 to 1906.[2]
The Lawson Chapel is located in Una. Fire protection is offered by the Clay County Volunteer Fire Department Unit 400.[3]
Una was the site of a murder on March 21, 1991, which followed a confrontation between two women, Johnnie Mae Powell and Jennifer Hodges. Powell had recently won the "Miss Got the Body Contest", which aroused animosity between the two. Hostilities began first at "Rabbit's Place" (known also as the "Una Disco Club"), and ended at the "OK Corral", where Powell shot Hodges with a .25 caliber pistol. Powell received a life sentence.[4]
