Vanderpump Rules is an American reality television series airing on Bravo that debuted on January 7, 2013, with the first season originally eight episodes. A spin-off to The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the series features The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Lisa Vanderpump in the title role and her staff at Vanderpump's West Hollywood, California, restaurant SUR.
Andy Cohen later announced during the February 4, 2013, Watch What Happens Live episode that there would be a Vanderpump Rules reunion. The reunion was filmed on February 9, 2013.[1] It was announced in April 2013 that the series had been renewed for a second season.[2] The second season debut was a two-hour crossover episode with the fourth-season premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on November 4, 2013.[3] The second season reunion was filmed on January 10, 2014.[4] Vanderpump Rules was renewed for a third season in April 2014.[5] The new season premiered on November 3, 2014.[6]
The show was renewed for a fourth season, which premiered on November 2, 2015.[7] The show was later renewed for a fifth season.[8] On September 26, 2016, the trailer and cast were announced, along with the premiere date of November 7, 2016.[9][10]

Vanderpump Rules follows Lisa Vanderpump's employees at SUR, as they work on building their futures and the drama that occurs between them.

- Lisa Vanderpump: Vanderpump is a co-owner of SUR and the mother of Pandora and Max, who are friends with several SUR staff members. She is best known for being on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
- Jax Taylor: Jax is a bartender at SUR and a model.[11]
- Katie Maloney: Katie is a server at SUR.[12]
- Kristen Doute: Kristen was a server at SUR[13] and an aspiring actress.[14]
- Scheana Shay: Scheana is a server at SUR, as well as a singer and an aspiring actress. Her acting credits include appearances in Femme Fatales , 90210 and Victorious.[15][16][17][18] She has also made previous appearances in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The show follows her pursuits in the entertainment world.
- Stassi Schroeder (Main: Season 1–3; 5, Recurring: Season 4): Stassi used to be a server at SUR and previously wrote a fashion blog column for Pandora. She has made previous TV appearances in The Amazing Race: Family Edition with her father Mark, stepmother Char, and brother Hunter (they were eliminated in 7th place) and later in Queen Bees (she finished 6th place).[19]
- Tom Sandoval: Sandoval is a bartender at SUR and an actor. He had a lead role in the 2008 film Playing with Fire[20][21] and made an appearance in The Hills during a Teen Vogue casting interview.[22]
- Ariana Madix (Recurring: Season 2, Main: Season 3-5), Ariana Madix is a bartender at SUR and an aspiring actress. She was transferred from Villa Blanca.
- Tom Schwartz (Recurring: Season 1–2, Main: Season 3-5), frequently referred to as Schwartz, is an aspiring model and actor who is close friends with a majority of the SUR staff.
- James Kennedy (Recurring: Season 3, Main: Season 4-5), James is a server at SUR and DJ.

- Tina McDowelle (Season 1–2), Tina was a hostess at SUR.
- Vail Bloom (Season 3), Vail was a hostess at SUR. She is an Emmy nominated actress who appeared on The Young and the Restless for several years. She graduated from Princeton University.

After Show (2015)
On November 6, 2015, Bravo premiered talk show entitled Vanderpump Rules After Show which features conversations between the cast members of Vanderpump Rules discussing the same week's events and answering questions about their lives both on and off the show. The talk show is hosted by Julie Goldman and Brandy Howard.
