Sex & Violins is the debut studio album by Swedish dance group Rednex, released on Battery Records in February 1995.
Content
Six singles, including one promotional single, were released from it. The female vocals or from Annika Ljungberg, who left the band in 1996 due to a disagreement with the other band members, after the release of the fifth single, "Rolling Home", to start a solo career. The album was a commercial success, including the hit dance single "Cotton Eye Joe." The album was re-titled Cotton Eye Joe (Sex & Violins) for the U.S. release, presumably due to the original album cover, although a modified version was briefly released in the U.S. (minus the image of a person urinating in a cup) prior to the retitling. Track number 8 is also known as "Harder Than Your Husband"[2]
