The Royal George Hotel, Monk Street, Monmouth, Wales, is a Georgian townhouse, described as "one of the town's finest eighteenth century houses".[1] The house was designated a Grade II* listed building on 27 June 1952.[2]
The building is of three storeys, with seven bays under a hipped roof, built "probably in the 1730s."[1] It was originally roughcast to imitate masonry and has a modillion eaves cornice.[3]
The building, originally known as Ivy Bank House,[3] was converted into flats in the late twentieth century.
