Rivignano was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,269 and an area of 30.5 square kilometres (11.8 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Rivignano contained the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ariis, Flambruzzo, Sivigliano, and Sella.
Rivignano bordered the following municipalities: Bertiolo, Pocenia, Ronchis, Talmassons, Teor, Varmo.
Since January 1, 2014 Rivignano has been merged with Teor, forming a new municipality called Rivignano Teor.[2]
