Real World Seattle: Bad Blood[1] is the thirty-second season of MTV's reality television series Real World, which focuses on a group of diverse strangers living together for several months in a different city each season as cameras document their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is the ninth season to be filmed in the Pacific States region of the United States, specifically in Washington, and is also the third season to be filmed in the Pacific Northwest after The Real World: Portland.
The season features a total of fourteen people, consisting of seven original roommates and seven additional permanent roommates who lived in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. This season follows a twist from the past three seasons. It is the tenth season to take place in a city that had hosted a previous season, as the show's seventh season was set in Seattle in 1998. Seattle was first reported as the location for the 32nd season by the website Vevmo on May 22, 2016. Production began on June 30, and concluded on August 27, 2016 totaling up to 58 days of filming.[2]
The season premiered on October 12, 2016 on MTV and the MTV app.[1]
Season changes
Most seasons of Real World have a phone room so the cast members can make calls. On this season, the production crew provided the cast members smartphones so they could take their own pictures, have calls, and send text messages to families, one another, and close friends. This is the first time cast have been given personal communication devices since the cast of the tenth season were given two-way pagers.[3]
The residence
During shooting, the cast lived at 1517 12th Avenue between E. Pike Street and E. Pine Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.[4]
Cast
This is the first season of Real World to feature a cast of 14 cast members consisting of seven original roommates and seven additional roommates. The season started off with seven roommates, and then the cast was joined by seven additional roommates. The additional roommates are Bad Blood, people who the originals once got along with but now have a rift with due to various issues.[2][5]

| Seven brand new roommates move into their new house in Seattle. As the roommates get to know each other, Tyara feels left out, and is not opening up. However, she develops a small crush on Theo. Mike feels a strong attraction to Jordan, but the feeling seems to be non-mutual. Katrina explains her relationship with her sister to Mike. The roommates play a "Truth or Dare"-like game that involves Robbie having to bite Theo's lip. After, Tyara gets mad after Jordan and Theo talk about her in the Confessional, while she is in there sleeping, and tensions fly high between Mike and Robbie. | ||||

| Robbie is sent to a hotel after an intense confrontation with Mike. Theo discusses his broken relationship with his cousin to Tyara. When Theo dances with a girl on a night out, Tyara gets extremely jealous, making their friendship awkward. When the roommates, except for Tyara, go out, Katrina fights with her sister via text, and she fears that she and her sister may not be able to fix their relationship. Tyara explains to Theo that she is very isolated because of her past with being bullied in high school. Theo then reveals that he has a crush on Tyara, too. Robbie gets a gig DJing at a local nightbclub. Tyara and Theo continue their fling. Anna, and presumably all the other Bad Blood, gets a message from producers saying that they are casted for a new show, and will be heading to Portland, Oregon in 10 days. | ||||

| The roommates head to a bonfire where Tyara suggest an activity that will get her closer with the other roommates. The next day, Tyara and Theo play a prank in which they pretend that a new roommate "John" is moving into the house. The other roommates freak out, except for Katrina, who is excited, until they find out the John doesn't exist. Meanwhile, in Portland, the Bad Blood -- Anna, Jenn, Kassius, Kimberly, Orlana, Peter, and Will -- meet each other for the first time, and they learn that they are actually going to Seattle as the twist of this season. While the other Bad Blood are excited, Anna fears that the show may create an even bigger strain in her relationship with Katrina. Peter reveals that he and Mike had a falling out because Mike owed him money. After Mike won Are You the One? 3, he did not pay Peter back. Kimberly, Tyara's Bad Blood, reveals that Tyara's British accent is fake. Back in Seattle, Robbie learns that Jenn is two hours away, and he fears that she may be moving into the house. The Bad Blood start heading to Seattle in an RV, where they continue to get to know each other. Kimberly believes that the bad blood between her and Tyara is very one-sided. Tyara explains that Kimberly bullied her in high school, which is why she hates Kimberly. Will explains her relationship with Anika, and Anika reveals that she has trust issues with guys because of Will. Theo promises to himself that he will keep his cool if Kassius comes to the house. Orlana fears that her relationship with Jordan may not be solved when she moves in. Jordan explains her fallout with Orlana with Anika and Katrina. Jenn and Robbie explain their breakup, and Jenn reveals that she is insecure because of Robbie. Peter and Anna begin flirting with each other, and Anna reveals that she is attracted to Peter. | ||||

| The originals prepare for the twist that they suspect will be happening soon, and Tyara wants to confront Kimberly after what she put her through. Theo reveals that he lost a Division 1 scholarship because of police incident caused by his cousin having marijuana in their dorm. Theo thinks he may not forgive Kassius for what he's done. The roommates head to the club for a night out. All of the roommates, except Tyara, leave their section to dance. Tyara becomes extremely upset because she thinks no one told her on purpose. Back at the house, Tyara confronts all of her roommates about the situation, and the roommates become through with her. Katrina becomes extremely upset with her because she felt that Tyara is over exaggerating. Mike attempts to calm her down, but Tyara continues to be stubborn. Theo also gets upset for the same reason as Katrina, and he feels betrayed because she was closest to him. Meanwhile, Anna fears that she would look like the bad guy coming to the house. Katrina fears that the twist will increase the drama in the house. Theo tries to calm Tyara down in the Confessional. Mike and Jordan reconnect in the Confessional. The next day, the Bad Blood talk about possible hookups among the group, and the night before, Peter and Anna made out in the RV. Katrina does not want to talk to Tyara anymore. The originals head to the zoo, and the Bad Blood finally heads to Seattle. Production renovates the house to reveal the Bad Blood's rooms. The Bad Blood finally move into the house, and they are disgusted by how dirty the house is. The originals return to the house only to find their Bad Blood in their rooms. Jorfdan is surprised to find Orlana. Robbie is upset when he finds Jenn because he doesn't want to live with his girlfriend. Anika is confused to why Will is ignoring her. Anika reveals that they were in an off-and-on relationship for 3 years. However, she would still see him after they broke up because Will was close to her brother. Then, Will got a girl pregnant, and he didn't tell Anika, but her brother knew. Anna tells Katrina that Tyara's accent is fake. The originals feel uncomfortable with the Bad Blood in their house. Tyara avoids Kimberly because she doesn't want to confront her yet. She thinks that she might fight Kimbely if shedoes. However, Kimberly isn't up for a fight. The cast split into two groups, the Bad Blood vs. the Orginals. Katrina explains to Anna what happened the night before, and they promise each other that they'll have each other's back. Mike confronts Kassius on calling Theo's side of the story fake. Peter says Mike is known to be an instigator. Theo steps in, and Peter intervenes. When Peter intervenes, Tyara steps in and Tyara and Peter go at it when Peter calls her out on her fake accent. | ||||

| Picking up where the last episode left off, Theo calls his family after the whole situation, and his mom and his grandmother tell him not to let Kassius get to him. Mike and Peter explain their situation and Peter is still angry that Mike did not pay him back. Peter gets to know Katrina after taking a liking in Anna. Katrina explains that her and Anna are very competitive, and they always get into it because of guys. Peter fears that he may be the reason for future trouble between the sisters. Peter doesn't want to be the reason for more touble between the sisters. The Originals continue to view the Bad Blood as inferior to them. Kassius checks up on his son, and he questions whether being in the house is right for his son. Anika and Will get into in the Confessional, after arguing about who's better, the Originals or the Bad Blood. The whole cast prepare for their first night out together, and the tension is still high between the roommates. Back at the house, Will messes with Anika's food from the fridge. Katrina finds out the Anna has feelings for each other. Katrina tries to convince Theo to forgive Kassius, and Theo continues to hold a grudge against Kassius. Kassius begins to miss his son, and Tyara tries to comfort him. Theo becomes confused when he finds them in the Confessional talking. Mike and Jordan are continuing to get close, and the roommates try to instigate a hookup between them. Mike instigates yet another fight with Anna, and Katrina comes to her defense. Mike thinks Katrina is choosing sides because she is defending her sister, and Katrina is shocked by the disrespect. Theo tries to calm the situation. Mike stays up all night, and he begins making comments about women in the Confessional. He then writes a note on the stove that says "Fuck Anna" and burns it. The next morning, Anika and Will discuss their relationship, and they try to compromise a way to live in the house together. Will feels that he doesn't know Anika anymore. They both agree that they will go their separate ways after their stay in Seattle ends. Peter learns about the events of the previous night, and becomes annoyed of Mike's disrespectful behavior. Later that night, the girls and guys go on their own nights out, but Peter, Anna, and Katrina do their own thing. The guys dare Jordan to run in her heels and she ends up falling. The girls all bond on their night out. Orlana is still hesitant to talk to Jordan. The guys also bond on their night out. Peter, Anna, and Katrina go to their own thing, and Peter is getting bad vibes from Katrina. Kassius tries to call Mike out for dancing with another girl. Robbie tells Theo about it, and Theo leaves so that nothing escalates. Tensions continue to heat up between Kassius and Theo, and Kassius threatens to fight Theo. When they return home, Tyara tries to see what's wrong. Jenn comforts Kassius because she sees where he's coming from. The next day, Peter and Mike try to squash the differences in the Confessional. Katrina talks to Peter about Mike, and she wants to assure that Peter won't hurt her. Peter and Anna step outside and talk about Katrina's perception on Peter, and Peter agrees to give Katrina a chance. The episode ends with Robbie talking to Theo about Kassius, and Robbie tells Theo not to dwell on the past so much. Theo agrees to coexist with Kassius. | ||||
