Narayanaswamy of INC. MLA B.A. Basavaraj contesting through INC won the Karnataka Legislative Assembly election, 2013 from K R Puram by a margin of 24001 votes defeating N S Nandiesha Reddy of BJP.

The elected Corporator, Padmavati Srinivas of BJP won the BBMP 2015 elections with 13,355 with a victory margin of 2,062 votes defeating M Shantha of INC
