Natalie A. Manley is a member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 98th district since 2013.[1] She s a member of the Democratic party. The 98th district includes all or parts of Bolingbrook, Crest Hill, Crystal Lawns and Joliet.[2]

Early life, education and career

Manley is a certified public accountant with a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Francis.[3] Prior to her election, she worked as an accountant at a private firm and co-hosted a talk show on local radio station WJOL.

Manley was first elected to the Illinois House in November 2012, assuming office in January 2013. As of February 2013, she serves on the following committees:[1]

Domestic battery charges

In 2012, Manley was arrested by the Joliet Police Department for a domestic battery charge. Manley's 21-year-old daughter returned home late one evening. Upon her return, Manley allegedly “punched, kicked, knocked her to the ground, struck her in the face [and] hit her with a set of keys.” Manley's daughter then went to a Joliet police station.[4]
