List of Oxford University Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Oxford University Cricket Club (OUCC) in top-class matches since the club was first recorded in 1827. OUCC teams have always had important or first-class status: i.e., classified as an important team by substantial sources from 1827 to 1894;[1][2] classified as an official first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;[3] and classified as a List A team in 1973 only.[4]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as an OUCC player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides OUCC. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2016 season.[5]

Since the 2001 season, some OUCC players have been members of teams representing combinations of British universities or as part of the Oxford University Centre of Cricketing Excellence, later rebranded the Oxford Marylebone Cricket Club University (Oxford MCCU), which takes students from other universities in the Oxford area into some first-class matches. Consequently, the only first-class matches in which the authentic OUCC team (i.e., consisting purely of students at the University of Oxford) has played from 2001 is the annual Varsity Match against a similarly constituted side from Cambridge University Cricket Club (CUCC). This list includes only those players who have represented OUCC per se.
