Lincoln station is a SkyTrain station on the Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line located in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. The station is located at the intersection of Pinetree Way and Lincoln Avenue, adjacent to the Coquitlam Centre shopping mall.[1][2]
Timeline
Work to prepare for the station started in the fall of 2013 with the cutting down of all the trees on the west side of Pinetree way from Lincoln Ave to Northern Ave. In January 2014 a report was released about the construction timeline for the station. Part of the report cited "Construction of the Evergreen Line’s Lincoln Station is scheduled to begin in early January 2014. This work will be ongoing until late 2015 and will take place in a fenced-off area within the northeastern section of the Coquitlam Centre parking lot between Northern Avenue and Lincoln Avenue".[3]
In mid-January 2014, the whole area of the future station was fenced off. In mid-April 2014, the first support structure for the station was completed.
The station opened on December 2, 2016.[1][4][5]
