Kania [ˈkaɲa], formerly German Kannenberg, is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Chociwel, within Stargard County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-west of Chociwel, 24 km (15 mi) north-east of Stargard Szczeciński, and 45 km (28 mi) east of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany, during which time it was known as Kannenberg.[2] For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has a population of 412.
