José Padilla Sr.

José Padilla Sr. was Governor of Bulacan from 1928 to 1931 and again from 1934 to 1937. He also served as Representative of the 1st district of Bulacan from 1919–1928.

He has many children who became famous in the field of showbussiness, politics, sports and others. Among them, actors Jose (Pempe) Padilla Jr. and Carlos Padilla Sr., film director Consuelo Padilla-Osorio, diplomat and actor Amado Cortez, and Casimiro (Roy) Padilla Sr., former Governor of Camarines Norte.
