Jollytown, Pennsylvania

Jollytown is an unincorporated community in Greene County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.^[1] There exists a one-room schoolhouse, a community building, a church, and a moment of Jesse Taylor. Jesse Taylor was the first known soldier from Greene County killed in the Civil War.

History

Jollytown was founded by Titus Jolley, and named for him.^[2] A post office called Jollytown was established in 1845, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1954.^[3]
