Hollands & Blair F.C. is an English football club located in Gillingham, in Kent. The club plays in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division. After spending most of its history in the Rochester & District Football League system the club entered the Kent County League in 2004. Blair was accepted into the newly formed Kent Invicta Football league for the inaugural 2011–12 season.
History
After the initial success of a factory team called Hollands & Blair, the current club was formed in 1970 under the name H & B United.[3][4] In 1973 this club merged with the Hollands & Blair team, in a first/reserves partnership before the latter disbanded in 1974 and the H & B United side adopted the Hollands & Blair name.[3] In 1976 the club finished runners-up in the Rochester & District League Division One, being promoted to the Premier Division.[3] They then stayed in this division for 17 years, winning the championship twice and finishing runners-up three times, before entering the Kent County Football League East Division Two in 2004 on the back of a further two consecutive championships.[3] The team went on to be promoted twice in as many seasons to reach the Kent County Football League Premier Division by 2006.[3] They won this league in 2008–09 and 2010–11 and were accepted into the Kent Invicta Football League for its inaugural season in 2011–12.[3]
The club's first season in the Kent Invicta league saw the club finish 3rd, but they gained more success through winning the Kent Senior Trophy for the first time.[5]
