Guðmundur Steinsson (born 18 July 1960) is an Icelandic former footballer. He was part of the Iceland national football team between 1980 and 1988. He played 19 matches, scoring 8 goals.[1][2] On club level he played for Knattspyrnufélagið Fram he played at the 1981–82 European Cup Winners' Cup and was the topscorer of the 1984 Úrvalsdeild with 10 goals. With Víkingur he became topscorer of the 1991 Úrvalsdeild with 13 goals. He played for Víkingur also at the 1992–93 UEFA Champions League and scored in the match against CSKA Moscow.
