The Dalmatian derby is the name given to matches between Hajduk Split and Šibenik. It is a regional derby between football clubs from central Dalmatia’s two largest cities, Split and Šibenik. The teams are supported by their fanbases called Split's Torcida and Šibenik's Funcuti.
In these derbies was expressed the hostility between people from Split and Šibenik among themselves, because the most of the inhabitants from the urban part of Šibenik are fans of Šibenik, and from the surrounding area the supporters of Hajduk. This intolerance is caused by the popularity of clubs from Zadar in order of basketball (KK Zadar) and the football club (NK Zadar). Not infrequently this hostility could bring and incidents in these games, but fortunately these incidents pass without a large number of the injured people. These derbies are played regularly since the formation of Prva HNL, until 2003 when was Šibenik relegated to the Druga HNL and played again in 2006 when he returned to the Prva HNL and again regularly until 2012 when Sibenik still came out and did not played to date, because as occurs in the Druga HNL. These two teams have met in the final of 2009–10 Croatian Cup when Hajduk won both matches and won the trophy.
The derby was also played off the field, because the debts towards Šibenik from money of the transfer of Ante Rukavina, Hajduk was suspended many times and threatened with not playing all official matches and friendlies, and the suspension was delayed many times. But fortunately for the fans of Hajduk all it ended well for Hajduk and is no longer under threat of suspension so that he paid the debt of Šibenik.
