D. Nageshwar Reddy
Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy is a gastroenterologist who studied in the famous Kurnool Medical College.[1] He is the Chairman of the biggest gastroenterology hospital in the world i.e. Asian Institute of Gastroenterology located at Hyderabad. He received the Padma Shri award in 2002 and Padma Bhushan award in 2016.[2][3]
An elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences,[4] he was conferred with the world’s highest gastroenterology award in Shanghai, China, at a function held on September, 2013.[5]
2009 Master Endoscopist Award
American Society of GastroIntestinal Endoscopy(ASGE) has awarded him Master Endoscopist Award in 2009. This is the highest award in the field of endoscopy in the world. This award is also termed as the "Nobel Prize of Endoscopy"
2016 Padma Bhushan Award
Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy has been awarded Padma Bhushan by Government of India in year 2016. [6]
