City of London Academy, Islington (formerly Islington Green School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Islington area of the London Borough of Islington, England.[1]
Previously a community school administered by Islington London Borough Council, Islington Green School converted to academy status on 1 September 2008 and was renamed City of London Academy, Islington. A sixth form was opened at the school in September 2010. The school is jointly sponsored by the City of London Corporation and City University London. The City of London Corporation also sponsors City Academy, Hackney and City of London Academy, Southwark.
The school uniform are, maroon blazers, grey jumpers, and grey trousers/skirts. The logo includes two griffins. All sixth form students are required to dress professionally for a business-like environment.
Standards
A 2014 Ofsted inspection rated the school as "Good".[2]
