Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger is Chris Rock's fifth HBO comedy special. It was edited together from three performances: one at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London, one at the Apollo Theater in New York City, and one at the Carnival City Casino in Johannesburg.

There are two versions of the DVD. One includes only the HBO special; the other is a three-disc set that contains the original HBO presentation as well as the three performances in London, New York, and Johannesburg in their entirety.

Reception

Kill the Messenger won two Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special.^[1]
