"Chamar a música" (Call the music) was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1994, performed in Portuguese by Sara Tavares.
The song is a ballad, with Tavares telling her lover that tonight will be purely for the two of them. She explains that she will "call the music" and write a song for them alone, rather than watching TV or anything else.
The song was performed eighth on the night, following Croatia's Tony Cetinski with "Nek' ti bude ljubav sva" and preceding Switzerland's Duilio with "Sto pregando". At the close of voting, it had received 73 points, placing 8th in a field of 25.
It was succeeded as Portuguese representative at the 1995 contest by Tó Cruz with "Baunilha e chocolate".
