Boken, Pakistan

Boken or Bokan is a village and union council of Jhelum District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. It is part of Jhelum Tehsil,^[1] and is located at 33°9′N 73°4′E / 33.150°N 73.067°E / 33.150; 73.067Coordinates: 33°9′N 73°4′E / 33.150°N 73.067°E / 33.150; 73.067 with an altitude of 489 metres (1,604 ft).^[2]

It was most probably named after a Gujjar clan named Boken, which is still found here among local Gujjars in good numbers.
