Austria selected its entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn, Estonia by holding a national final, the first time since 1994 that a national final was held. Song.Null.Zwei (English: Song '02) contained 10 participants competing to sing for Austria.
The winner of the contest was Manuel Ortega with the song "Say A Word", and subsequently went on to represent Austria in Tallinn.

The contest was held on 1 March 2002 at the ORF TV Studios in Vienna, hosted by Andi Knoll. The winner was chosen by a mixture of televoting, SMS voting and an internet jury of 2002 people.
