Asahi (朝日町 Asahi-machi) is a town located in Shimoniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture, Japan.

Asahi-machi is facing the Northern Alps and Sea of Japan of scenic beauty and this town faces the border among West Japan and East Japan on the Sea of Japan side. Old time, Asahi-machi grew the post-station town. Asahi-machi left remains(縄文遺跡), a historic spots and cultural assets. Asahi-machi is a town that feel the fragrance of the history and that declared the dawn of the culture. Asahi-machi is known as the beach volleyball birthplace.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 15,091 and a density of 66.68 persons per km². The total area is 226.32 km².
