Aiyo, Not Bad (traditional Chinese: 哎呦,不錯哦; simplified Chinese: 哎呦,不错哦; pinyin: ǎi you, bú cuò ou) is Taiwanese Mandopop artist Jay Chou's thirteenth Mandarin studio album.[1] It was released on 26 December 2014[2] by JVR Music and distributed by Sony Music Entertainment Taiwan. The album was first announced on 3 December, and preorders began on 10 December.[3] There are three versions to this album; normal (平裝版), Deluxe Package (精裝版) and limited USB Edition (USB版), which the noctilucent USB Key is also the singer's portrait; made specially through 3D Printing technology, based on Chou's actual figure.[4]
Summary
The album name comes from Jay Chou's pet phrase. "Aiyo", is a commonly used slang in Chinese, which is either said when experiencing pain (similar to "Ouch" in English), or expressing that something was not expected. "鞋子特大號" (Xié Zi Tè Dà Hào / Extra Large Shoes), the hit song from the album, was first played on 5 December 2014, on the Taiwanese radio station Hit FM. On that day, because of the excessive amount of people listening, the station malfunctioned and caused the album preview to be delayed. On 25 December, the album release press conference announced that sixty thousand copies of the album's CD version, and 120 thousand copies of the USB version has been preordered. The album's autograph singing show in Ximending was attended by twenty, to thirty thousand people.
