The 2017–18 NHL season will be the inaugural season for the Vegas Golden Knights. They will play their home games at the T-Mobile Arena.
Expansion draft
The team will fill its roster by selecting players in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. They will be required to select or sign one player, who wasn't protected, from each existing team.
Entry draft
Las Vegas' first round pick will be determined in the draft lottery. They will be given the same odds as the team with the third worst point total from the 2016–17 season. They won't draft any lower than sixth overall and will draft third in each subsequent round.[1]
