Alexander 'Álex' Alegría Moreno (born 10 October 1992) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Betis as a forward.

Club career

Born in Plasencia, Cáceres, Extremadura, Alegría finished his formation with CP Cacereño, and made his senior debuts in the 2010–11 campaign, in Segunda División B. On 18 July 2012 he signed a two-year deal with Real Betis, being assigned to the reserves also in the third level.[1]

On 11 July 2014 Alegría signed a new deal with the Andalusians, after scoring nine goals in 2013–14.[2] On 1 March 2015 he made his professional debut, coming on as a second half substitute for Francisco Portillo in a 0–0 away draw against CD Mirandés for the Segunda División championship.[3]

On 8 July 2015 Alegría renewed his link until 2017, being immediately loaned to CD Numancia in the second level.[4] He made his debut for the club on 23 August, playing 12 minutes and scoring a brace in a 6–3 home win against CD Tenerife.[5]

On 15 June 2016, after scoring 12 goals in 41 appearances for Numancia, Alegría was definitely promoted to the first team in La Liga.[6] He made his debut in the category on 11 September, starting in a 3–2 away win against Valencia CF.[7]

On 16 September 2016, Alegría scored his first goals in the main category, netting a brace in a 2–2 home draw against Granada CF.[8]
