Yuri Anatoleyvich Bykov (Russian: Ю́рий Анато́льевич Бы́ков; born August 15, 1981) is a Russian filmmaker, screenwriter and actor.
Biography
Bykov was born in Novomichurinsk Ryazan Oblast, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. In 2005 he graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). After playing in theaters VGIK: MAT, «Et Cetera», Moon Theatre, Theatre of the Russian Army. He played minor roles in films and television series.
In 2009 he made the short film "Head", which acted as a script writer, director, composer, producer and actor. The film was awarded the main prize in the competition "Kinotavr. Short meter" at the film festival "Kinotavr".
In the 2014 Nika Awards he received a special prize for Best Supporting Actor for The Major.
