Yoshizumi Ishihara (石原 良純 Ishihara Yoshizumi, born 15 January 1962) is a Japanese weather forecaster, TV personality, and actor. Born in Zushi, Kanagawa, he is the second son of Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara, and brother of politicians Nobuteru Ishihara and Hirotaka Ishihara.

Biography

Ishihara was born on 15 January 1962 in Zushi, Kanagawa.[1]

He entered Keio University in 1980 to study Economics.[1]

He is a self-proclaimed railway enthusiast.[1]

TV appearances

Ishihara was remembered for his appearance in Seibu Keisatsu as Detective Jun Godai together with Yujiro Ishihara. He also appeared in the series 'Taiyō ni Hoero!' ; also together with Yujiro Ishihara. He currently works as the regular weather forecaster on Fuji Television's evening FNN Super News programme.[6] He also appears regularly on the Fuji TV daytime variety programme Waratte Iitomo!.[7] was also a judge on numerous episodes of the original Japanese Iron Chef.
