"Yɛn Ara Asaase Ni" (English: "This Is Our Own Native Land") is a patriotic song of Ghanaians and was originally written and composed by Ephraim Amu.

The patriotic song, "Yɛn Ara Asaase Ni" of the people of Ghana was written by Ephraim Amu, a son of Peki in the Volta region of Ghana. The song, means "This Is Our Own Native Land" evokes a message of nationalism and each generation doing their best to build on the works of the previous generation.

Yɛn ara asaase ni;

Ɛyɛ aboɔden de ma yεn,
Mogya a nananom hwie gui;
Nya de too hɔ maa yɛn,
Adu me ne wo nso so,

Sε yɛbɛyɛ bi atoa so.

This is our own native land;
What a priceless heritage,
Acquired with the blood our ancestors shed for us;
It is now our turn to continue what our ancestors started,
Know-it-all behavior, cheating and selfishness;
Has scarred our character and diminished our affection for our land.

Nimdeɛ ntraso, nkoto-kranne;

Ne apɛ-sɛ-me-nko-minya,
Adi yɛn bra mu dεm, ma yɛn asase ho dɔ atom’ sɛɛ.

Ahofama ntetekwaam' ma onipa biara yiyɛdi;
Ɛnonom na ɛde asomdwee ne nkɔso pa brɛ ɔman.
