Yasmine is a 2014 Brunei film directed by Siti Kamaluddin and Chan Man Ching and starring Liyana Yus, Nadiah Wahid and others. The film premiered on August 21, 2014 in Bandar Seri Begawan.
This coming-of-age drama comedy story that combines South East Asian martial arts, Silat, takes a month of shooting. Set in Brunei Darussalam, this movie also features Chan Man Ching (Rush Hour, Hellboy II) as the action director.
Synopsis
The story revolves in the live of Yasmine, played by Bruneian young rookie actress (Liyana Yus) who wants to become a champion of silat to win over her school crush. Stumbling upon conflicts with her two best friends and her father, Fahri (Reza Rahadian), Yasmine believes that her dream is worth fighting for.[2]
