Yana van der Meulen Rodgers (born 1966)[1] is professor and graduate director within the Women's and Gender Studies department of Rutgers University,[2] and was the president of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) from 2013 to 2014.[3]
Rodgers has acted as a consultant for the Asian Development Bank,[4] the World Bank,[5] co-author of Social Justice and Gender Equality: Rethinking Development Strategies and Macroeconomic Policies for the United Nations Research Institute For Social Development (UNRISD),[6][7] and is an associate editor of the journal Feminist Economics.
Education
Rodgers gained her degree and her masters in economics in 1987 and 1989, from Cornell University, and her doctorate in economics from Harvard University in 1993.[8]
Research
The main areas of research that she covers are: feminist economics, labor studies, economics of the family, development economics, and nutrition and food policy.[2]
Leisure
Rodgers enjoys running, particularly half-marathons.[2]
