Woodmansterne railway station is (only just) in the London Borough of Croydon, Greater London, England, lying immediately east of the London/Surrey border. The station is on the Tattenham Corner line 23 km (14½ miles) south of London Charing Cross. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southern, and it is in Travelcard Zone 6. There is a single island platform, reached from a footbridge, and the ticket office, located on the island platform, is manned - from Spring 2010 - whenever trains run.
Early in 2009, there was an attempted robbery of railway money, targeting railway staff, early in the morning.
There is no PERTIS self-service 'Permit to Travel' ticket machine at this location.
Services
The typical off-peak service (including weekends) per hour is two trains to Tattenham Corner and two trains to London Bridge via East Croydon and Norwood Junction.[2] Services also run to London Victoria during the weekday business peaks and run there rather than London Bridge on weekday evenings. At other times, connections can be made at East Croydon.

Connections
London Buses route 166 and Non TFL route 866 serve the station on Chipstead Valley Road to the south. A hail and ride section of London Buses route 463 runs along St Andrews Road to the north of the station.
