Wish upon a Pike (Russian: По щучьему веленью, translit. Po shchuchemu veleniyu) is a 1938 fantasy film directed by Aleksandr Rou, which is debut and filmed at Soyuzdetfilm.[1] It is adapted from a play by Yelizaveta Tarakhovskaya, itself based on several tales from Slavic folklore.[2]
Plot
Yemelya the fool catches a magical pike that grants him wishes in exchange for its life.
