Winkel is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Hollands Kroon, and lies about 11 km north of Heerhugowaard.

Winkel was a separate municipality until 1970, when it was merged with Niedorp.[1]

In 2007, the village of Winkel had 2,970 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 1.1 km², and contained 861 residences.[2] The statistical area "Winkel", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2,650.[3]
