The William W. Jarvis House is a historic house located at 317 E. Center St. in Troy, Illinois. The house was built in 1867 by owner William W. Jarvis, a local businessman and the grandson of one of Troy's founders. Jarvis designed his house in the Italianate style, which was nationally popular from 1850 to 1880. The two-story house has an asymmetrical plan with a projecting mass on one side of the front facade and a porch on the other. A polygonal window bay protrudes from the first floor of the projecting mass. All of the house's windows are topped by pediment hoods. The house's cross gabled roof features overhanging eaves and a cornice decorated with scroll brackets.[2]
The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 3, 1988.[1]
