Wiking Mineral is a junior mineral exploration and mine development company founded in 2005 primarily engaged in mine development and active exploration for base and precious metal deposits in Sweden that may lead to mining, focusing on precious and base metals.
Between 2006 and November 21st, 2014 the company was listed on the alternative exchange AktieTorget using the symbol WIKM. In July 2014 Patrik Brinkmann and family controlled just over 50% of the company, and there were a total of about 1,400 shareholders. [2]
The head office is located on Axel Johanssons Gata 6 in Uppsala.
Operations
Since 2005, the Company has conducted exploration in several areas with previously proven mineral resources, primarily in northern Sweden, and now has a portfolio of mining and exploration projects in various stages of development, using different methods, ranging from traditional surface exploration to advanced deep exploration.
In July 2014 Wiking Mineral had 34 exploration projects in and outside of known mineral deposit areas, as well as two mining concessions (in Gladhammar and Vindfall).[3]
In 2013 the company had an average of two employees and two consultants. In the current phase, the company relies to a large extent on external expertise, with the idea of moving more and more of these capacities in-house as it approaches the processing phase.[1]
Projects
Wiking Mineral's project portfolio consists of a number of mining and exploration projects concentrated to three geographical areas in Sweden; the Skellefteå district, Bergslagen and the Västervik area.
Vindfall near Gävle and Sandviken is a shallow lead, zinc and silver deposit, which the company sees as its most promising project and intends to develop towards active mining operations.
Gladhammar near Västervik is a near-surface gold deposit where the company is evaluating conditions for mining. The company was granted a mining concession for the deposit in November 2012.
In Bunsås near Sandviken in Bergsslagen the company intends to secure ownership of the copper and zinc deposit with a mining concession.
In the Boliden area in eastern Skellefteå, an area rich in mines, the company conducts advanced deep exploration for gold and zinc-rich ores in Långträsk and Långdal. Furthermore, Wiking Mineral is developing a number of gold and base metal projects in Skellefte and Bergslagen, including the gold project Bastutjärnen in the Boliden area and the zinc and lead project Gruvbergsfältet in Bergslagen.
The company's exploration permits cover a total area of over 11,000 hectares.[2][3]

History
The company was founded in 2005 by Patrik Brinkmann and Görgen Edefors. The following year new equity was issued twice, totaling SEK 30 million, the company was listed on the market place Aktietorget and exploration activities commenced.
In 2007, an additional share issue of SEK 20 million was carried out, and the companies and Noble Metals Exploration and Mineralprospektering i Bergslagen were acquired, and merged with Wiking Mineral.
In the following years continuous core drilling has been carried out, and 2009 mineralizations of zinc and lead (Myssfallet in Saxåfältet) as well gold (Bastutjärnen near Boliden) were found, among others.
The following year, convertible bonds totalling SEK 66.7 million were issued and exploration company Nordic Resources (then called Havilah Mining) was acquired, which in 2011 was merged with the parent company.
In 2013 Wiking Mineral's creditors were offered a private placement in accordance with the Company's proposal to creditors following the cancellation of rights issue earlier in the year whereupon the Company was granted reorganization.
In 2014 the company resumed drilling operations in Gladhammar, Västervik after a geophysics study had demonstrated greater potential than previously thought, and it was granted a mining concession for its key project Vindfall. Wiking Mineral also signed a purchase agreement for a mineral processing plant.
