The Whitehall Mansion a historic house at 42 Whitehall Avenue in Stonington, Connecticut. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 1979.[1]
The house was built in the 1770s by Dudley Woodbridge, a doctor in Mystic, Connecticut. In 1962, the house was donated to the Stoningham Historical Society. In 1993, the Stonington Historical Society sought permission to relocate the house forward on its lot so that it would attract more attention. The Stonington Historical Society had decided that it could not afford to continue operating the house as a museum, but its location on the rear of the lot was seen as an obstacle to its sale.[2] The request was approved on March 2, 1994.[3] The house is now operated as a bed and breakfast inn.[4]
