The Wherry Block is an historic building located in Des Moines, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
History
The building was built in 1887 for S.C. Wherry. It was extensively renovated in 2005. There is commercial space on the main level and four apartments units on the second floor.[2] A new building was constructed to the north of the old building. Its architectural style complements the older structure. It added 4,500 square feet (420 m2) of commercial space.[2]
