Wesley Kreder (born 4 November 1990) is a Dutch road bicycle racer, and track racer, who rides for UCI Professional Continental Team Roompot–Oranje Peloton. Wesley's brother Dennis, and cousins Michel and Raymond are all professional cyclists; Dennis was a team-mate of Wesley's at Van Vliet–EBH Elshof in 2009, while Michel and Raymond also compete for Team Roompot[1]
Born in Leiden, Kreder has competed as a professional since the middle of the 2012 season,[2] joining the Vacansoleil–DCM team as a stagiaire, having been a member of the Rabobank Continental Team since 2010. Kreder achieved his first professional victory in October 2012, making a late-race attack at the Tour de Vendée, and held off the field by two seconds.[3] Kreder remained with the team full-time into the 2013 season.[4]
Kreder joined Wanty–Groupe Gobert for the 2014 season, after his previous team – Vacansoleil–DCM[5] – folded at the end of the 2013 season.[6] In September 2014 it was announced that Wesley, Michel and Raymond Kreder would sign with the new Team Roompot team for 2015.[1]
