Professional career
Wendy was drafted onto the 2004 Arizona Heat National Pro Fastpitch team. She led her team in RBIs, doubles and slugging percentage.[25] Her batting average was a close number two. Halfway through season she was sliding into home plate and hurt her injured knee. Plagued with knee issues, which ended up being a torn meniscus, she declined her NPF all-star selection and had to sit out several games.[26] [27]
In 2006 Allen led her A.B. Caronno team in batting average, on-base percentage, tied for hits and triples and was second in slugging percentage.
