Wave was a Canadian pop rock duo composed of Dave Thomson and Paul Gigliotti. They formed in 1999 in Niagara Falls, Ontario and are best known for their 2001 single, "California" which reached number-one in Canada.
Biography
The band members were Dave Thomson and Paul Gigliotti. They were signed by Warner Music Canada and released their debut album, Nothing as It Seems. Their radio single "California" quickly increased in airplay and reached number-one on the Canadian pop charts, helping sales figures of the album to reach Gold certification.[1] They also had the top 20 hits, Think It Over and Don't Say Sarah. Top 40 hits included That's How It Feels and Sleepless.
Post disbanding
The two members went their separate ways, Paul Gilligoti continues to make music as a solo artist. Dave Thomson now lives in Nashville, Tennessee who is now an songwriter for artists such as Jake Mathews.
On August 14th, 2016, Paul and Dave reunited and played at the Niagara Falls Beer Festival. It was the first time they played live together as a band in 14 years.
